Birth Information:

Hiring a professional to photograph your birth can seem like a strange concept to those who have never seen or experienced it before, particularly to husbands and fathers. However, having a professional birth photographer capture these moments for you frees up your partner to just be present & free to support you during your birth process.  The moments when you need your support team the most are usually when you need photos taken as well. Dad should CERTAINLY not be behind the lens of a camera when his baby is entering the world & taking their first breaths! Their place is by their partner’s side, helping to catch their baby, or simply taking in the moment.

I appreciate that labor and birth is a very private time between you and your partner. It is entirely up to you as to what images & video content (if any) are to be shared online. Images and video content will only ever be shared with your expressed permission.

Because of the unpredictable nature of birth, the immense amount of editing work afterward, and being a mom of four I can only schedule 1 video packages and 1 photographic-only packages a month at this time. Please keep this in mind to reserve the time around your due date as early as possible!

Photography Only Birth Session:
Price: $950

  • Pre-consultation meeting (usually on the phone or through email)
  • A coffee date in your 3rd trimester to meet and get to know each other. We’ll talk about your birth plan, things you’d like/not like at your session. I’ll also answer any questions/concerns you may have.
  • I am on call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day from 38 weeks until delivery
  • My time and talent at your birth, no matter how long it takes. There is no time limit and you are not charged extra if it takes longer. I also stay for at least 2 hours after the birth to the capture the newborn exam and bonding time with you and your new family.
  • My time and talent editing approximately 100-150 images (in B&W) that best tell the story of your baby’s arrival.
  • Digital negatives given on USB

Video/Photography Birth Session:
Price: $1250

  • Pre-consultation meeting (usually on the phone or through email)
  • A coffee date in your 3rd trimester to meet and get to know each other. We’ll talk about your birth plan, things you’d like/not like at your session. I’ll also answer any questions/concerns you may have.
  • I am on call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day from 38 weeks until delivery
  • My time and talent at your birth, no matter how long it takes. There is no time limit and you are not charged extra if it takes longer. I also stay for at least 2 hours after the birth to the capture the newborn exam and bonding time with you and your new family.
  • My time and talent editing approximately 100-150 images (in B&W) that best tell the story of your baby’s arrival.
  • Digital negatives given on USB
  • Live video clips of your birth story will be taken throughout your labor and your baby’s first few hours and will be added with the photographs in your slideshow

“Just Born” Birth Session:
Price: $500

  • Pre-consultation meeting (usually on the phone or through email)
  • I am on call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day from 38 weeks until delivery
  • 2 hours coverage anytime after delivery at the place of birth
  • Digital negatives given on USB (approximately 50-75)
